I do all my own oil changes/chassis lube on my K5. My buddy and I have different styles of greasing the fittings on our trucks. Is it best to:

1. Pump the grease gun twice per fitting or

2. Pump until you see movement in the rubber boot around the fitting being greased

So I don't screw up the results, I'll withhold my opinion until I hear from a few of you.

I always go for option #2 also. Sometimes it takes my grease gun a few more than two pumps to get the old grease out of the fitting.

#2 on most fittings, some of mine are little tricky though.

On my 18 wheeler its 3 pumps and no more. I was always told not to let the grease seep out the sides and if you pump till you see movement then its usaully to late. Just my opinion but hey I could be wrong

I always pump until old grease is coming out than wipe everything down. But I would say #2 would also be good.

P.S. Hey there Eagle........I hope you didn't shrink over your holidays!
