I took my truck to a well experienced mechanic who owns several lifted FS Chevs himself to see why my throttle was sticking.

He went over my carb, cleaned it, readjusted everything, but my throttle is still sticking SO much it's reallly a PAIN. Almost undrivable.

I think the pedal is sticking, cause once it sticks and i tap on the pedal it unsticks for a bit.

What can I do to cure the problem? I need this fixed ASAP! [TOMORROW]

spray some rust check on the cable and the where the pedal mounts, solved my problem

You can also disconnect it from the carb to make sure the problem ISN'T the carb. Then you can disconnect the throttle cable from the pedal, ensuring the pedal isn't the cause.

What he said. If the cable is not attached to the pedal, and it sticks, it is a carb problem. Not attached to the carb, and it sticks, its a pedal problem. Not attached to either and the cable sticks, its the cable.
