What is this?

And what are these 2 holes for?

Thanks y'all!

Top pic is an oil pressure sending unit. Goes to ECM
Bottom on the right is another location for an oil pressure sender. Goes to the gauge.
The left hole I am not sure about

top one shows the oil pressure sending unit and the oil port at the top back of the block

the lower pic shows the clutch pivot ball boss in lower block front and another oil gallay port to the rear.

The first pic you have the oil pressure sending unit circled as for the holes I can't tell where the are onn the block to say what they are for.

Pic #2, lower left circle is the dip stick tube boss.

Sorry but pic 2 is the bell crank hole for a clutch Z bar. The oil tube hole is just up and to the left a little.

I can tell you that the right one is the one leaking my my truck making a huge mess right now!!!!!!!! Oil pressure.

The one on the left on one of my engines makes a really good knock sensor place and the one on the right is where my oil pressure gage goes too. The one on the top I use for my manual gage and a sending unit.

Ok the top pic everyone is correct. The bottom pic however are BOTH clutch pivot ball locations. The plug just above the oil filter would be the second oil pressure port. And the hole to the left and slightly above the left arrow is the oil dipstick hole. The plug just about where the bottom left wing of the left arrow is a drain the feeds into the water jacket, these drain holes are often used for knock sensors on newer blocks.

Here this clears it up i hope.

red=clutch pivots

blue=oil dipstick hole

yellow=oil pressure port

white= water jacket drain/knock sensor location
