would anybody here pay $3500 for this truck:

I need to confirm that there is nobody who's interested before I start stripping it.
(I'm kind of obsessive compulsive) :D

It's got a 396 (that doesn't pass smog), SM465 (with bad input bearing)
NP205, 14 bolt FF/44 front, 3.73 (and Gov-Bomb, but I have a 4.56 RP/ open carrier to swap in)

38.5" Boggers on 15x8 rock crawler wheels. at least 97% tread, only a hundred and fifty miles on them
4" TC HD springs, ORD shackleflip, Rancho shocks

Don't let the spray can paint job fool you, the truck has many "whiskey kisses". Only straight sheet metal left is the cab, but the interior needs a makeover.

I only want to sell it if I can get out of it what I have in it. Thanks for the honest input :doah:

then you dont want to sell it. 99% of the time, you never get close to what you put into it. my 86 was an exception to that rule, but only because of a lot of bartering and selling of parts from the trucks i stripped to build it. i ended up losing about $25 when all was said and done, and i've still got a few odds and ends here and there.

You're right- but there's always gotta be somebody out there willing to pay more than you, you just gotta find em is my motto. I made about $800 selling a deuce and a half when diesel was $3.30 a gallon, so it's worth a shot :haha: :D

Keep it at that price for awhile longer, even though there are things wrong with it, it's still a decent looking truck, and i am assuming no rust, in Reno NV.?

if ya can't get thet for it, drop it down in like $200 increments, i wouldn't go any lower than like $2800 though.

just my opinion.... :D

there's a bunch of rust in the front fenders, rust ate a bunch on the doors, and the bed is lightly rusted. Frame and cab are good (but I want to swap that cab for my rolled one :haha: ) However, the bed is broken in about three places, and the hood is bowed :D

Man, my uncle abused this poor thing. Has about 400,000 miles. the spray job hid a lot of the problems, but it only passes the ten foot rule :D

Man, I think I'm screwed at that price...............

I think that I took a $5000 truck, put a few thousand in it and made a $4000 truck. :doah:

Around here that is about the going rate. Good clean condition goes up to and slightly over $10,000. If I was there I would have to buy it and drive it home. Sell it again after the tires found there way on my rig.

One of my buddies flys all over buying Blazers and other vehicles. He normally gets good shape rigs for about $5000, drives them home and jacks the price up. I was looking at a 87 P/u on a lot the summer with 454/700/205/10 bolt's with 4 inch lift and 33 inch tires. $15,000 Canadian. Truck looked good at first, then I started noticing new body panels that didn't line up. Truck was supposely original but I proved them wrong. Dunno what it sold for after. Too me it was overkill on pricing but someone would buy it.

axles? its a C20, so there's one axle... its a 14FF with 3.5" wide rear shoes, and the spider gears are VERY welded.
