$3900 or best offer. It's a '91 Chevy Blazer TBI 5.7l professionally rebuilt automatic 4x4 Silverado. Customer ordered with vinyl seats instead of cloth. Currently has just over 165,800 miles. Power windows, locks, cruise control, tilt wheel, CD player with iPhone controls and remote control.
I had the transmission rebuilt in august of 2011, its the original 700r4/4l80e with upgraded planetaries, shift kit, new electronics, etc, cost me $1800.
New inner and outer rockers, tail pan, and floor crossmember done by a local auto body shop cost me $2k
New AC compressor, condenser, etc and converted to r134a in May of 2011. AC works good!
All new Flowmaster 3" catback exhaust and 3" Magnaflow catalytic converter around April of 2011. Cost approx $450.
Rebuilt throttle body with a CFM technologies throttle body spacer, pod gasket, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure guage, and adapter. Also has a K&N filter in the factory air cleaner assembly. Approx $350.
I replaced the O2 sensor, TPS sensor, idle air control valve, EGR valve, spark plugs and wires, and fuel filter all in the past year and a half.
Alternator and water pump replaced 2 or 3 years ago. I think the battery was replaced around the same time.
About 2 years ago I had a local mechanic replace the intake manifold gasket that was leaking for $300. I've been running Mobil1 synthetic the last 20k miles. Oil pan gasket shows some seepage, but doesn't drip.
Brand new Softtopper.com soft top with tinted windows in June of 2011 that cost $850. It is awesome!!! I still have the factory hard top which is in good shape.
New inspection and emissions back in January of 2012. If you can afford the gas, you can drive this thing anywhere! I drove it to New Orleans and back last year and averaged 17.3 mpg @ 70 plus mph for 2600 miles round trip when it still had the 31's on it. It currently has a set of 32" Goodyear Mud Terrains on the factory Steel wheels. Probably 60 to 70% tread left.
New JVC HD Radio receiver, CD player with IPhone/IPod controls with new infinity 3 way speakers in the dash. Old set of infinity 6x9 3 way speakers in the rear. Cost me $200.
More stuff that I can't remember, but I've got about $9k tied up in this thing over the past 6 or 7 years I've owned it. I'm the second owner, I bought it off of an estate, and I have a lot of the original paperwork, including the original window sticker and bill of sale. I'll update with more pics if any one is interested.
The Bad:
I had the factory rear rebuilt twice, last time cost me $800. It leaks and slowly eats up bearings still. I bought a NEW, still in it's original crate military surplus M1009 rear, but haven't had time to swap in 3:73 gears and install it yet... It's complete drum to drum, and goes with the truck!!!
The transfer case leaks. 4x4 works great though, still running the factory automatic hubs.
No carpet, it was shot. I was going to Herculine the Interior and then replace the carpeting, but I haven't gotten that far yet. It's loud inside without the carpeting, but you can see what your getting! Minimal surface rust, and no cracks around the seat mounts!!!
Cheap autozone seat covers to cover the vinyl, drivers seat is cracked in the typical spots.
Most of the side trim is off the exterior of the truck and in a box in my basement. I have brand new aluminum trim for the wheel well openings from LMC as well.
Rust bubbles just behind the rear tires, I sanded them off and zinc primered just to see if it was bad or not. Minor pitting but still savable. The whole truck needs painted, I just haven't had the time or money to do it. Passenger side is currently in zinc primer just to keep it sealed up. Paint was next on my major project list.
So why am I selling? I daily drove this truck until 2 months ago, but I decided to park it when gas jumped up. I figured I'd just keep it for a weekend cruiser/fun project. However, my 8 year old son has had 2 surgeries, and spent the past month in and out of the hospital. He has another surgery in a week. I've missed a ton of days at work all unpaid... Reality says sell it, I don't want to, but life takes precedent. Come and see it, it needs work, but you'll be hard pressed to find one in this area as solid as this one, everything working, and having as many new parts!!! My loss is your gain.
