Plug wire recommendations

I've always used Accel 8.8mm wires. I usually get the universal ones and run them the way I want. I've never had problem with those. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I've got Accel's too, I bought the universal ones (cut to length) with 90* boots, and made sure to route them SOLIDLY out of the way of the exhaust. (In my case headers) No problems in the short time I've run them, I liked the fact I could get them in black...most aftermarkets seem to be hard to get in anything not "bright".

I'm a fan of Accels too. I've had the same 8.8's on my Burb for about 5 years now. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

I had to go with the bright yellow. They have to be good for .75hp each. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor wires on my truck. I like them alot. Heard good things about Taylors too.

I tried to find some info about the best insulated wires as far as touching the exhaust and not melting. Never found anything though. That would be some useful information. Anybody seen anything like that?

I like Taylor. Been using them on all my cars for many years now. 0 problems and the price is right.
I have had nothing but bad luck with Accel. Every set i tryed leaked bad. looked like 4th of July under my hood at night. But I quit using them many years ago maby they are better now.

Taylor are much higher quality than Accel. Accel isn't bad, but comparing it to Taylor is like night and day. I like the MSDs too. The Taylor heat boots are great for headers that get close to plug boots.

I get the premade accells with the 90* ends and run them through the stock wire seperators

Actually the coil, cap, rotor and wires are accell, with AC Delco plugs

I can't remember the last time I had an engine that clean.

Nevermind, yes I can. It was the week after I put engine #2 in the K10.

I disagree. The one and only set of Taylors I had were junk after about a month of use. They would sporadically drop cylinders as I drove down the road. I replaced them with Accels and the problem was solved. Good thing the Taylors were a gift. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif
