Just get the replacemant HEI wires for your year of truck . Seperate them , and cinch them down away from the exhaust .

Will be hundreds of times better than yours , so you don't need expensive ones . Save the money and take your ol lady out

Yes, zip tie's and thermal booty's. I had to double layer the thermals on my truck, one wire on each side, after 2 years they are still fine.

I just looked and AutoZone has a cheap set of "xact" brand cheapies for 20 bucks - and they come with a lifetime warranty . Certainly not the best wires, but bound to be better than wires that have been thrashed half to death and leak spark all over, cross-spark to other leaky wires, etc.

Oops, brain fart. I'm not sure what wires I will end up getting. What is a fair price to pay for some average quality wires?

I'd probably count on spending around 50 bucks for a quality set. An AC Delco wire set costs about that, and you'll find few people that will sneer at those wires:

i use taylor wires they cost around the same and are great wires cost around the same
