im in dire need of replacing my plugs and wires this weekend and i need to know what wires are header friendly and reasonably priced

the wire on the #2 cylinder from front driver side is really close to the header tube and it has already burnt up an accel wire...im going to get some high heat boot protectors for that wire but what wires are good for a daily driven vehicle running an MSD 6AL box?

also what plugs do you all recommend?....im leaning towards AC Delco R45TS

forgett thoose accel wires.. i ad them and they got burned!!!

I got summit spark box, ac delco spark plugs and taylor wires and boy what a diference wires make..

I use MSD wires and NGK V-power plugs. I've never had any issues with the MSD wires. I've been running them now for close to 20 years (different vehicles).

The Moroso Ultra 40 wires I have leave plenty of room between the primaries and wires. I run Autolite plugs.

Hold my beer & watch this!

I almost burned my truck down by having my wires to close to my headers. I use MSDs, well 7 MSDs and a random 8mm to replace the burnt one. Got some high temp boots and got everything tight and haven't had a problem sense

My boots are pretty close to my headers. I run Bosch (not expensive) wires simply because of the lifetime warranty from Autozone. Never had a burned boot (but if the wire touches the tube sometime - no problem - warranty). I also had some other cheap wires on there that never burned.

I also never had an Accel ignition product that didn't suck.

I like Taylor spiro pro wires. I run them on both my vehicles with headers. They hold up well and reasonably priced.
For plugs I use Ac delco or Autolites

I have the MSD 8.5mm superconductor cut to fits. Ive had the boots lay on the headers (oops) with no immediate consequences.
