PLZ HELP chevy 350 quadrajet, Unilite distibutor. WONT IDLE IN GEAR

Well try it again . Maybe snug it up and wiggle the carb a bit , and tighten . Then check the edges .

Those gaskets and those carbs work fine , maybe it doesn't like that intake flange .

Thats your trail truck motor ? If ya want a good factory dual plane aluminum intake , Id swap that with ya . You don't need it with a trail truck , and I know the factory carb flange will seal .

yea its a the trail motor. you got any pix of the intake.i'll try to flip that gasket tomarrow. hopefully it will work. it seems like th intake doesnt have anything to do with the leak. it seems to be jsut the gasket not bein big enough or i have it on wrong.

got a new carb and idles fine in park at 6-8* without idle screw all the way in,and timing mark stayin still. but it still wont run in gear. im bout to go get my carbcleaner. could this be a vaccuum leak

also if i can get it back into park while its still running at 400-500 rpms the idle doesnt go back up. right away and takes a couple moments or somtimes it just dies.
