I've never used any of those "hot rod" ones listed--they are probably better quality than most "regular"replacement ones.At the parts stores I worket at,we usually had 2 brands of ignition parts, most popular were Standard Ignition(the "Blue Srteak"ones have brass terminals and higher dilectric strength plastic)and Filko, both were prefered by the shops and mechanics by far, unless they wanted a "cheapie",then I'd sell them an "E-Tron" brand cap--actually the E-tron wasnt bad--they made a cap just like the Blue Streak ones with brass terminals,it was even blue for about 10 bucks for an HEI one, whereas the Blue Streak on sold for over 20 bucks.I've had very little troble with distributor caps since they started using that different type of plastic on the HEI ones--they dont crack or carbon track anywhere near as often as they did on point style distributors--the rotors still get carbon tracked or "punched through"(when the spark burns a hole through the rotor, and gronds out on the distributor shaft)quite often--I see it mostly on the 4.3's and newer GM's with the small round style rotor more than the V8 style rotors for some reason. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
