Anybody know how to correctly (or incorrectly if it works) adjust poly locks on a roller tip rocker for a solid lifter cam?

if its the kind im thinking of you need ro have your engine running, then pull the valve cover off, get the size wrench of the poly lock, and the allen wrench that fits in the poly lock. some people can adjust them just by listening to the sound of the engine. there might be a book to better explain this.

With a solid I use the ex open/intake close method which you can use also.
With a starter button or helper crank the engine until the exhaust valve just starts to open & adjust the intake.
You can turn it by hand if you need the excerise
Crank again until the intake valve is closing & adjust the exhaust.
This is the correct way to adjust valves with a performance cam, especially solids as it assures you you are on the base circle.

Yeah thats how we do it! What I need to know is why the damn things keep coming loose. I know how to adjust them on a hydraulic flat tappet cam but don't know about soild lifter cam. I'm going to run by the speed shop today when ever I get done doing my taxes. (#$%&)

I believe it's the nature of solid lift cams to need periodic readjustment. How long are you going between adjustments?

6 hours! I ran by the speed shop today and talked to "the man" I think we will try what he said as soon as my friend finds his cam card.
