I have a rebuild Pontiac 350 big block with a pontiac turbo 400 trans. Will this trANSMISSION BOLT TO A 203 FROM A 77 OR A 208 FROM A 88 ?

the pontiac trans will be a 2wd trans so no it will not bolt up to any of the t-cases you listed.

You will need to swap the 2 wd output shaft for a 4 wheel drive one, most shops around here will do it for about a hundred bucks. after that I am not sure if there are different stickout lengths for between the 203 shaft and the 208 shaft (speaking of the 4wd output shaft)

Either t-case will need the 32 spline input that a turbo 400 output shaft has

Just nitpicking, but there is no such thing as a "big block" Pontiac.

203 takes 1 tail shaft

208 takes 1 tail shaft

205 has 2 diffrent tail shafts

all for th400 only info .

so you will need the tail shaft for your tcase specificly.

So let me get this right
Can I use the 208 case with the Pontiac trans by swaping a input shaft

Pontiac did not make a SB or a BB. Outer dimensions stayed about the same on all V-8 engines. One other thing, in regards to the transmission- the bellhousing came in two flavors (Chevy and BOP). Chevy peaks up, BOP down.

as long as the 208 came out of a turbo 400 if it came out of a 700 then it will have a 27 spline input all of the turbo 400 outputs are 32 spline

So I'm leaning more toward just getting a adapter plate to go between the Pontiac 350 and the chevy turbo 350 with the 203. Will this work ?

Yep I have a buick 455 that has the bop pattern bellhousing and the adaptor for the chevy bellhousing It was in a plow truck for 5 years

The stock 700R4's dont live long behind most pontiac motors but the 350 may be ok. The overdrive would be great. I plan on putting a hot 400P in my chevy with a 4L80 or something of the like for the overdrive. I will be using the adapter plate aswell.
