So I’ve taken to the auctions looking for a suitable transplant for the Nova. Watching everything with a RWD and smaller engine, plus going off a recommendation of the cars listed in the title. Seems the NA 2.4 goes fairly cheap. I think I’d rather get a Miata engine if NA, something with lots of support and newer.

Having said that… I’ve been watching the 270hp turbo 2.0 versions of the Solstice and Sky. I’m happy to see them with automatic options. (I just don’t want to deal with the added manual stuff for this car, it ain’t no Porsche.

Can anyone elaborate on the GXP and Redline versions of these cars? Any experience? Go for it or run for the hills? Couldn’t care about the car, just the drivetrain. (Well…maybe the center console could come in handy :D)

I've had a couple come through the dealership in each flavor. I never really had to do any in-depth work on the 2.0 in either form N/A or Boosted. Taken care of with regular maintenance they were solid little engines.

It’s a 2.4 NA or a 2.0T
How are these engines and drivetrains treated by the aftermarket parts suppliers? We’re these produced for any other cars that might have survived the GM BK? Curious about parts but SUPER curious if there’s anyone out there working on the the tuning portion. Haven’t spent time on forums yet simply cause I got options still :D

Never jumped down the rabbit hole looking for stuff on them. But at the track for rocky mountain race week that had a full zzp equipped 3.8 that spoke very highly about them.

I think looking into the Miata might check the boxes you listed out in the first post. Miata.net is their version of CK5. Huge aftermarket as well.

My buddy just bought a Skyline for his wife (5 speed). I took it for a ride and could not believe how quick it was. 0 to 100 like right now.

There is a huge following for the LNF. Especially on the Cobalt SS/TC side. Pretty easy to get 500hp from them with a new hairdryer.

I always wanted to mount one in the center toon of a tritoon pontoon boat.
