Heres some pics of the last time Abe's 74' Bronco will ever be driven, a sad day indeed. A hiem joint failed on his drag link which spun around and went under his driver side front tire spinning him around into a 4' stump and then into a tree which sent him over and sideways at 40mph. Bent frame, radiator, carb, radias arm, front housing.....

talk about a cage that needs x-bracing in the b-pillar, some gussets at the bends and something vertical in the center-of-the-windshield area. I'm not an engineer... but is this kind of thing not obvious to people who make cages?

Geez, and we were just talking about Bronco's the other day. Doesn't look like it will be worth rebuilding. Any drivetrain carnage, or just body/frame only?

holy crap... when I initially posted I didn't look at the bottom of the a/b pillars and how they attach to the rest of the rig. Who thinks that a good way to do it? lol! Not 100% sure what the guy was trying to do... but it looks like he/she failed miserably. Hopefully no one got hurt....

it says in the discription he posted...a hiem in the draglink faild casuing him to lose control and head for a stump at about 40 MPH

i'm sure he added that later, but wow, sucks for any vehicle. U had a 1 ton TRE fail in my drive way, I cant imagine that happening to my truck.... I didnt have any type of roll cage in at the time either. I installed the factory roll bar after that just incase

yeah, anytime you can't find a single gusset or example of triangulation in a cage... something ain't right. lol!

LOL!!!!! :haha: :haha: :rotfl: :rotfl: :p: I knew that would get someones goat! was only playin. the cage was built crappy. gotcha!

It may not be the best example of a cage, but it apparently did it's job! If the description is correct the vehicle had a fairly major wipe-out at 40 mph and "nobody got hurt"......not exactly sure what everybody expects the cage to look like afterwards?

well if the guy did it right he should have zigged then zagged then did an alleyoop, then a 360 deg flip and landed on all fours you see, then the cage would have been just fine, right? that what I would have did......no really.:D
