So I guess I can start a thread on this truck that followed me home in August.

Cruising the market webs, I found a front clip I wanted to swap on to Ugly Betty but the seller did not want to sell it separately from the truck he was selling.

Long story short after I agreed to buy at one price and he said he had a picker to load the engine and transmission that turned out to be a wheel lift wrecker!
I beat him up verbally until he accepted $1000 for the project and I got on my merry way after a lot of sweat and cussing

Pretty solid truck just in pieces. Frames been coated with por15 and everything is strait

The 400sbc that’s already married to a 700r4. Supposed this was running when pulls from a Camaro and has a cam etc etc. well seee

I promptly scoured the market webs to find a bed as it was the main part missing. $500!

I threw the doors and front clip on and now it waits patiently for my time

So future plans include a white roll on bed liner paint job , the old bezels and grill from the black front clip and possibly a 3.5/5” drop with c-notch on the cheap. I’ll leave the 30” BFG’s on to roast off as they’re pretty dry rotten and find some cheap bias ply mud terrains to put back on the Steelers with the dog dishes. I think mud tires are cool on slammed trucks. I’m weird.

The popcorn nickname is derived from the white, roll on bed liner idea and we’d like it to resemble a 80’s popcorn ceiling. I may even sprinkle some glitter on it just like the real thing!

It puts the engine in or it gets the hose again!
I really just needed to move it out of the way so I could get to the crispy dually to pull the front clip and cab off.
I am itchin to get it runnin

These stainless eBay fender wells off the blazer look like they’ll work fine too

DUI distributed I had lying around, primed the engine with oil,spare air cleaner , hoses, bolted up the brake lines and adjusted the driver door. Got some stuff accomplished before the flies got out of control. I dunno what’s up with them this year.

Need to mount the p/a pump normally. Need pressure line and shocks but otherwise the front clip will be on tomorrow
