Seems like after my truck has set all night, I crank it up go to back up cut wheel and here a pop through drivers side of floor board. Any clues on this? Does have new ball joints, and wheel bearings.

no 100% looked when was up last on the lift. Wanna do xj shaft,ORD bolt in brace to help with slight steering wheel slop. only time noise is heard is after sitting over night or long period and first start moving, then it's ok.

I had a similar issue once with my '77. Turns out that when I bolted the seats in, one of the bolts was too long and was hitting the top of the frame rail. I have no idea why it only made noise after the truck sat over night.

Might not be your problem (later seats were different), but it's something to look at.

My truck has started popping on the *passenger* side floor.

I know the bushings are shot in the leaf springs, I suspect the noise is a result of that. Body mount is tight, that I checked.

If it makes you feel better, the body on my blazer makes all sorts of popping noises.

Check your front leaf spring hangers that connect to the frame. Sometimes the rivets tend to wear and allow that perch mount to move around. In my case, the hole for the leaf spring bolt has worn the bolt hole larger in diameter. So when I turn my wheels, I get a front end popping sound.

Kinda hard to find the perches but they are still out there. Had to source from two different places.....
