Pop\'s new ride -edit, updated new pics at bottom

Going to pick it up next week
its a 2000 ZR2 /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

I want the pickup version of the ZR2 for the newer DD, have to see if I can score one like dad did... EBAY! /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif
Lists for $8600 with all the options, snagged it off ebay for $5800 /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I saw that.

And actually it's not an S-10 Blazer, just Blazer. In 1996 or so when the "K1500 Blazer" was changed to "Tahoe" the S-10 part of that name was dropped.

That's identical to mine. Only mine is a standard transmission and 90% of them are automatics. If you/he ever uses the 4-wheel drive you're going to hate trying to get in and out of low range... just an FYI. /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif I paid a heck of a lot more than that for mine and if I didn't owe more than it's worth I'd attempt to sell it. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

Its got a fair amount of scuff and scratches, but its going to be highway/work truck. Has a tad bit of rust above the front windsheild we are going to get fixed ASAP!
Other than that its pretty nice, the interior is clean, has power everything (need to buy a couple remotes, its setup for keyless entry and alarm but no remotes), moon roof works and is a really nice option, stereo sounds great, truck runs good, shifts nice, doesn't have that vortec 350 kickdown at 70MPH but it scoots... This thing corners great on the highway also /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif First couple turns in around detroit I was taking it easy on the way back. After I noticed hardly any bodyroll I started taking corners a bit faster. After about 15minutes I took the long sweeping hard curved exit ramp from one highway to the other and accelerated from 65 to 85MPH in the turn and kept going like no big deal! /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

We ran 75-80MPH the whole way home, 311 miles, truck got 18.5MPG (same as the 97 yukon! we stopped to fill up before we left Pontiac, MI, and we stopped a little more then half way home south of Fort Wanye, I put $22.50 in the ZR2, met dad inside the gas station and he put exactly $22.50 in the yukon... he filled up from half a tank and I filled up from 1/4tank)

Can you get a pic of that console? I was sitting there on the way home and had my arm on the console and thought DAMN this would be comfortable to have a stick in... since it handles like a sports car! /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif
