Hey everybody. Let's say I wanted to put POR-15 on the inside of truck underneath the carpet. First would it be a bad idea? Second, do I have to pull up the paint first and then put it down? Thanks as always.
Actually I think it is a great idea. I did mine a few months ago. No you dont have to pull up all the old paint, but you will have to prep the paint and metal really well otherwise it wont stick. since I wasnt to concerned with the finish as much as the durability, I use some 80 grit paper. Then clean it really well, and then paint away.. good luck.
You don't need to remove the paint to get the por15 to stick but it won't protect the steel correctly unless it's in direct contact with it. At least that's what the directions say...
