so i want to use this on the firewall, and cab floor. i striped the paint sanded it ,bare metal , now my question is do i have to use that metal ready stuff they sell. i already have 1 gal. of por15.

Their product is more or less OSPHO (phosphoric acid) with zinc additive. You definitely should use a phosphoric acid cleanser of some type (liquid based like metal-ready or gel like naval jelly). The metal-ready is nice in that is does leave a visible sheen of zinc, which POR claims is the best surface type to adhere their product to. It doesnt cost alot more than basic phosphoric acid, so if you have a POR dealer neadby Id recommend using it.
