I never really gave it a second thought, but my ported vacuum switch ( on the thermo housing) is not hooked up.
I just got my chilton manual yesterday and havent had the chance to go out and check my lines, but could this switch ( since its just there with no hoses attached) cause a rough idle ? I think its temp. sensitive, right? So once thye engine warms up, the switch opens, therefore a vacuum leak?
oh and also, there's two items on my firewall i cant identify.
They are like little cylinders with a hose barb on one side and wires coming off the other end going into the cab/wiring harness. The hose barbs are supposed to have a vacuum lines (i think ) hooked up, but there's none there.
I pulled the brittle remains of a hose off of the driver's side one, it had a check valve in the line, but the other end of the line had rotted off and i cant find wheere it goes! The vacuum diagrams in my naual really arent any help for this either.. Help!?!
