Nice '77. My very first K5 was a '77 Blazer that was the exact same color combo!

When you post pics, enter the first pic link, then hit enter once or twice before doing the next one. I just edited your post so nobody had to sidescroll half a mile to see the pics. It's a pain in the ass to do that though...

The paint is 10yrs old,the body panels are 33 yrs old. The interior is original. This is what happens when anal retentive people own vehicles. To this day it stays garaged. I'm the second owner.

Nice lookin truck.

What are you running for air pressure in those tires? Visually, it looks like too much.

I have the exact same wheel/tire combo. I run 40 lbs. in mine (50lbs max) and they still crown some because of the 8" rims and they look the same as his. What does everyone else run to ease the crowning? I don't want to add to the rolling resistance either.

Is this just gonna be your clean DD? Way to clean to wheel anything other then fire roads.

Start em at 30 psi and move up/down from there.

Over inflated tires weaken the tires contact patch on the road, tire wear is increased (right down the middle) and safety is compromised. And they ride like crap.

Under inflated tires have the same effects on contact patch and safety but they wear on the outer edges, over heat the sidewall, and ride too soft on the road, steering response and cornering ability is decreased.

I'd be more concerned with safety and long life on the tires than I would be concerned with rolling resistance (fuel mileage). My life is worth alot more than a few MPGs. Plus, I can't afford to replace tires every 10-15k miles...

WOW! :bow:nice ride, have you got any pictures of the interior ? Would love to see what was called modern in 1977.

Not a dd, I mainly use it to pull a trailer with a couple of quads on the weekend. Also use to go camping in. Otherwise it just sits in the garage. Maybe put 3k miles a year on it.

Great looking rig!

Quick comment: it looks like your front driveshaft is a little long... I only notice because mine was the same way and it would bottom out when using the brake. It may just be the way the pic was taken or the stance... just thought I'd point it out.

When the truck was still stock and sitting on level ground I sprayed the spline areas of the driveshafts with yellow paint. After the lift the front shaft was 1/8 th on an inch longer. Put in the conversion u joint on the rear driveshaft and it was the same length as before. So if the front is to long now it was really long before. P. S. if you are refering to the close up of the right front wheel , it was about half way in the fender well and not on level ground.

Yep, I was referring to the first picture. I was just bringing it to your attention b/c I recently went through an episode with a slightly too long shaft (wish that wasn't the first time I've ever said that!).

Again, sweet looking rig!
