I went and looked at a 1979 K10 Shortbed tonight. Its got a 383 Stroker, SM465, NP205 w/ a slip yoke eliminator kit, D60 & a 14BFF. Its got 285/85/R16 Bridgestone Duelers up front and 7.50/16 Goodyear Workhorses out back. The body is pretty solid with the exception of the dents and the bedsides. The steering is tight and the brakes seem good. Its got a new clutch and its inspected. The frame is solid everywhere except the steering box area. The owners asking $1600.00, but what do you guys think?

wow man nice. Just make sure the frame is straight. If you pass let me know why and where it is so i can pick it up. Nice find.

does it actually have a d60 in it. i seen that for sale. and the guy said 3/4 ton axles??

i believe the belts are squeeling but when i checked them they seemed tight.. any internal problems with an engine that could sound like belts squeeling?

i'll check it when i go back. do you happen to have any good tires for 16" or 16.5" wheels cause i'll need some this winter if i grab the shortbed
