got the 86 k5 running. said this before but its a 76 4 bolt 350 with some performance goodies and a msd box with a new holly truck advenger
the motor just doesnt seem to make the power it should and it doesnt matter if the motor is cold or been running for hours, if you full thottle it in any gear it sounds like its missfiring around 2500-3000 rpm.
then after its nice and warm and its idling around 750 (running a sm465) it will drop to 400 then pick itsself back up and then just keep stumbing like that,
timing is around 8 degrees and i pulled all my plugs and they are clean.
next i will change the fuel filter and check to make sure im getting spark, but if all thats good does that lead back to the carb? the motor only has about 300 miles on the motor and its been doing it ever since the rebuild.
