How ya think something like this would look on my 78'?

They look like they may only be 6 or 7 inches wide, there isn't much of a dish to them. A set of rallies would look good and they are plentiful.

They'd definitely fit in with the 70's vibe your truck has going.

I'd definitely be concerned about their width though.

i emailed the guy about the width and the backspacing. Width was the first thing i thought about cause you need atleast a 8inch wheel to run the 12.5 tire. and they look kinda narrow. If i dont get a email back today i will call the guy and see what i can find out.

also if i could find a set of "the Dukes of Hazzard" wheels ( i forget the accual name) I had em on my ol' ford

I found a set about 2 months ago 15X8 or 9, 4 inch backspacing for $150 i just didnt have any spare cash at the time.

you mean like these???

check out the thread "western wheels for my truck" in the 73-91/k5/suburban/truck forum...there's a guy looking for some like that as well...

now that i learned the "western Wheels" are so rare i am a little pissed i passed up teh deal on those.

I think those were called "Turbine" wheels.

Personally, I really like the old slotted mags. Your Blazer looks really sharp, and the slotted mags were very popular back in the seventies when your Blazer was new. They would add to the vintage, classic look.

I've got a 1973 F-250 4x4 project and I put a set of used 16.5 x 9.75 slotted mags on it. It took a whole bunch of elbow grease to make the wheels look good, but I much prefer the look of those wheels to what I'll call the "Escalade Rap Star" look of today's wheels.

yeah...u might wanna think about the "availability" a wheel you're gonna purchase in the event you have a "mishap" with one...jus my .02

you got a good point there, thats the nice thing about rallies. but this is not a hardcore offroad truck, so its something i dont have to worry about as much.
