Post a Pic of the most hillbilly thing on your truck

my grille, tail light covers and license plate are all held one with zip ties.

lol i have to say i have used bailing wire and holey iron (plumbers strap) to suport my exhaust but i have replaced it lol

yes it is a deer hoist... could double as a nice fishing reel though.;) the interior is also knockoff rhinolined. that i cut my knuckles on when i take the seats out. but hey all i have to do after a mudding trip is take a hose to the interior. instead of taking out the seatbelts like a normal person they cut them off about 8 inches from the bolts..

I fail to see the reasoning in the way that exhaust is routed

that makes two of us.... i think its to make it quieter. but hey look at the rest of the truck and youll fail to see the reasoning for alot of things:rolleyes: lol

Also I thought there was no rust in Texas?!?!

Being in the rust belt I can't say much about my truck.

All I know is that is like THE ultimate hunting truck lol. I can definatly see that flying off a terrace at 40 or so and guys shooting out the back window at coyotes

maybe the exhaust is routed to the other side because the step thingy is where hunters will be coming up and down and they didnt want to smell the exhaust. I can only imagine that thing smelling really good at idle for about 30 mins or so. Or it makes it that extra quiet noise thats good for huntin, like 4 feet matters:D

That is awesome....

Kinda looks like some of my ideas, everything found, and less than $5 install cost....:haha: :doah: :haha: :doah: :haha:

looks kinda like him..lol. it didnt have a back window when we got it and the owner said .."well hell all we do its park it facing north when were huntin"

heh heh heh, but there is a tunnel cover.... The PO on my truck apparently cut notches in the rear bumper. LARGE notches on the bottom. I hope he had a reciever hitch on it, but exhaust tips could have come out there as well. I didnt get it w/ anything there, but i do have to remind myself to take of the license plate or it gets crunched when i wheel.
BUT for a while, I didnt have carpet in, and had just cut the holes for the shifter in the tunnel. The transmission had a leak and threw gear oil out a PTO cover which I could deal with. The A/C was busted, so windows were down, this caused a vacuum to be pulled through the shifter holes in the hump. The leaking gear oil would come out and get sucked in the truck and get all over where the headliner should have been. We didnt realize untill my brother was like what is this on my new pants man? He then made a "shifter boot" out of duct tape. We had it like that for atleast a month or so.

accord speakers 6.5" speakers + coffee cans= bawlin sound with lots of character.

I've got a few other things that might qualify for this thread, but this one takes the prize.

Last of the tailpipe...not sure why this one came out a bit dark :dunno:

Flashback from the license plate.

I like the alternative tailpipe routing!

The only hillbilly thing left on mine (that I haven't un-hillbillied) is the extra front tube bumper that sticks out about two feet and has tubing angling under the truck and attaching to the frame.
It's hard to explain. I'll see if I can find a pic.

Edit: found some

I've pretty much taken car of everything else like the weirds wiring things, ratchet strap battery hold-downs, messed up vacuum lines, etc.

But of course... there's the ultimate hillbilly mod. The PO replaced the TBI engine with a carb engine.
On the plus side, he also converted to a TH350 and NP205 while he was at it, so I guess I can't b:tch too loudly.

Thanks. It does decrease the actual approach angle but it also acts like a ramp, so it balances out. I'm just waiting for the day that I "accidentally" rear-end somebody. ;) It'll be 'tires in the trunk' for sure.

Yeah, the computer and entire wiring harness are still in place. They pulled out the alternator sense lead and the ignition hot lead (converted back to single-wire HEI) and I pulled out the oil pressure lead but everything else is just rolled up in the corner. As far as why they changed, the guy I bought it from said they blew the TBI engine and replaced it with this one but I dunno if I believe him. I think they took the TBI engine for a different project. Whatever the reason, I'd eventually like to go back to TBI. Maybe I'll get better than 8 mpg.

Dude I love the black!

Also for 78Suburban: Good thing you didn't put those coffee cans on your exhaust
