Post pics of the strange things you've hauled w/ your Blazer.

Here is a picture of me towing Eric's truggy! This is at 4am when we made it to the hotel in Moab after towing Horton a good 120 miles at 75 mph :D I was leaving some of the actual tow rigs in the dust (errrr... black smoke haha) on some of the bigger hills (6.5L diesel, 37s and 5:13 gears, woohoo!). Good thing my offroad toy is a 1 ton diesel truck in disguise :D Even has a proper brake controller and 7 pin trailer connector on it, lol

I should explain that gooseneck picture, btw! No, I did NOT drive anywhere with the trailer sitting on a 2" ball on an 8" drop hitch flipped upside down, LOL

When we broke down, we texted a few folks about it to let them know what was up and some speculating began in a post here on CK5. Someone heard that I towed Eric's tow rig to town (which I did, actually! As well as his truggy and trailer!) and got a bit confused thinking I'd done so with the Tahoe, haha

Anyways, what actually happened was that we unhooked the 3+3 that Eric was towing with and put it on my 20ft gooseneck and hauled it with my Duramax. I took my Tahoe, and pulled his trailer the rest of the way. My passenger ran the dmax, I ran the Tahoe, haha

Anyways, we read the post on CK5, thought the concept was pretty hilarious, so we flipped the ball on the drop hitch we used for the Tahoe and dropped the goose on it / plugged it in. The truck actually handled the weight amazingly well, and it made for a great picture, haha!

And Jek, I can't wait either! Need to replace the LB7's injectors and will be letting Andrew (my Moab co-pilot) DD the 1 ton it is in right now for a few months to make sure everything is reliable and good to go into the Tahoe. His DD just blew up, so it is kinda convenient. The nice thing is that when I lend him trucks, they always come back in way better shape than I lent them out, LOL

Yah i was "that gullible guy" dave texted the pics to. You bastids lol:D

Its a mechanics mat you bastids! Lol. And a comfy spot to lay when my ladies feelin friskay :D lol

I've had a 4 wheeler and dirt bike stuffed in mine while pulling a trailer with 2 more 4 wheelers stacked on a 4 x8 ft trailer. No pics though sorry.

Flat towing isn't exactly like carrying ... but :eek1: I assume the brakes in the Volvo were still working? Otherwise I'd not want to be in front of it :haha:

The Volvo was fully functioning but the driver was not. The road was totally covered with ice and the driver of the Volvo had clearly never driven a heavy truck on ice before. He was hitting the accelerator and the brake too hard all the time so the truck moved like a ball in a flipper game on the road. I had spike tires and towed him the whole way to his destination so he would not kill anyone :eek1:

Took the top off my '89 so I could haul a full 'vert top from Sacramento (Orangevale to be exact) to SF, about 100 miles. I placed a couple 2x4s on the bed rails as spacers and used some extra long bolts to secure it to the rails, but I had to locate the top back one bolt hole on the rail since the cab/top were competeing for space. That way the full topper would clear the cab. Just had to duct tape some cardboard from the windshield to top so wind wouldn't rip it off while going 60 mph. Needless to say no one followed me. :dunno:
Pics were taken but they're in the hands of the ex, so they might as well not exist.

Now that I've described it I'm sure it looked completely redneck not to mention dangerous. Ahhh, the stupid things I did when I was younger. :doah:
