My '83
6.2 diesel, 700R-4, 3.42's. I average 23-24 mpg (80% freeway) on my commute. It's quiet smooth, and rides like a caddy. It doubles as the yard truck for home stuff like trips to the dump or home depot too.
Paul (Can Can) sold it to me for $1000 2 years ago and it's been a great truck!!

My 71 C20. 350/400/Eaton This was taken at a local car show last year. I got 3rd in stock truck. Was my grandpas truck he bought new. Its got 43000 miles on it. Tranny wont shift into 3rd anymore so I need to get it rebuilt before next year. The car show is only ten miles away but 2nd gear takes awhile to get that far haha.

Wanna sell the dash outta that?? That is about the only thing bad in my interior. Trying to find one that isn't cracked is hard enough, but a brown one makes it even harder.

ya I delt with it for the winter and the snows pretty much over with but any weight over the rear wheels the rear end squats like crazy.

My grandad had an 83 GMC two wheel. Same color and everything except his was a 305. It was the truck I learned to drive on. He gave it to me but I wanted a 4x4 so my dad bought the 84 Chevy K10 and traded. Still drove the 83 once in awhile (it still had a/c and cruise)
. Sadly I was coming home from a friends house late at night , fell asleep and rolled it.
I'll never be able to forgive myself for that.
I have no idea. Over the past few months though its been grinding going into gears and the input bearing had been whining. Finally 5th gear stipped out on me going down the highway. I down shifted to 4th and kept driving till I got off of my exit hit a a stop light, I go to drive and bam nothing every gear is stripped out. I definately heard some sounds you dont want to hear.

My friend drives his jeep around with only 1st, 3rd and 5th. The other 2 will only go in when you either double clutch it or hold it in which usually never works.
I findit funny when he drives it
It's also mated to a 4cyl. I think it depends on the driver and he's put that thing through hell. Like jumping mainstreet and stuff
