Here's mine. 3"x3" 1/4" wall square tube, with 1-1/2" tube runners. I built the runners to act as steps, and have added an expanded metal overlay in the middle since these pics were taken. I also cut back the front of each side 2" to allow for fender trimming for the 37's in my future! This was a trial fit, they are off to the powder coater right now.

cool looking good, has anyone ever used a 5" x 2" rectangular tube for the main slider, thinking of this but dont have the access to look at it in person before I buy the steel, have to order it and it's like 3.00 a foot more than the 3x3 tube. but I'm thinking it would cover a little more and slide off of things a little easier?? I don't know just thinking out loud, open to all suggestions /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I use 4" x 2" on mine, and its a lot cheaper in price than the oddball sizes /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Here is mine, the door is trimmed about a half an inch to clear. They are 1"x3" .120 wall rec. tube with two sleves of 3/4"x3/4" .095 wall square inside. 1" .120 wall round kicker tube (it is now really bent)

I would put more stringers out to the kicker tube if I did it again and I am thinking of using solid 1" round but am worried *if* it bends (read when I smack it on a 4 foot drop) I won't be able to bend it back at all. I will probably just boat side it and run rec tube only.

I used 3x3 square tubing, cut out the rusted rocker panels and welded the 3x3 to my rocker boxes.

I Like those .... from what I can see, have anymore pics? THX everyone for the pic's I'm considering doing a 3x3 now with a reciever hitch right in the middle, not lower but, butwelded so that I can attach a winching point and or a step with a sliding reciever hitch type hook up. I like the wider version but also like the other idea's that come with the 3x3 design I would like to see this article in the Peterson's to see how it looks and there options. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

I just got mine put in....

I done the cutout method, 3x3 .125 wall tube, ends are 3/8" plate, we knotched out the front of the sliders to go around the front fender bolt. Two bolts in the front fender mount (plus the front fender bolt), one panhead bolt in the rear up through the slider to the new body mount/floor, then its welded all the way around...

thats my pops marking the holes for the front fender bolts

Now I need to trim the fenders some more and weld the sheet metal back to the slider.
