Post up your BB15 build progress

Front driveshaft was sent out today for re-tube, also got a line on some 3/8" ar500 plate for my skid plate, since I bent my current one slightly when I came down on it.

If all goes well, I will have an actual 1-ton solid axle swap done by July:whistle: and an ARB bull bar in front. That's the plan at least. If anyone wants to help I'll be starting this swap in June at Keith's (kgblazerfive) house. Please please thankyou thankyou.

Crossover almost done waiting on drag link. Still thinking bout a tranny swap and hoping to do hydro assist but I've got time so anything could happen.

Framing was signed off on the new shop. More shear supports added to the walls. Yelled at the idiot I bought the kit from. BBB has even sent him a letter now. I have roof sheeting for the front building only. No wall material yet. :weapon31:

front bumper and B52s are mounted, working on winch mounting and HVAC right now. then, interior.

it still needs tow points and the winch mounted.

Well, since I put new tires on the DS-10 I've been snapping axle parts like crazy. 2 years on 35x12.5R15 Goodyears, no broken parts. 3 months on 35x12.5R15 General Grabber Red Labels, 2 broken Superior stub shafts, 1 broken superior u-joint and 1 twisted and bent Superior 12 bolt shaft...

So more parts may be stolen off the Blazer and installed on the DS-10. By BB15 there's a good chance it will be on 1 tons, 37's with TR beadlocks :pimp:. Unfortunately they don't make the Grabbers in a 37...

Trying to win the Memorial Trophy two years in a row?

I switched tires because I kept killing the Goodyears, now the new tires are killing the axles. I'm just trying to make it reliable... Who knew I'd kill 4340 parts with 35s on a 4400lb rig...

OHohohoh me me me call on me.

I was always amazed you were making it work honestly. I figured it was a matter of time until you started to break stuff. I also say your doing harder lines and pushing the truck more as you get used to it and the "new" is worn off.

Next stop just like the blazer:whistle:

Only one of the breaks was on a line I had no business doing. I have no issues with that break, it was my own stupidity that got me there.

One stub axle was on gravel while doing a front dig to get turned around on a little shelf road...
One was in a creek bed where I was trying to back up and didn't even realize I was bound up.
The rear axle was right here:

You'll notice I'm on Goodyears in that picture, I also didn't break anything that time out. The Generals stuck to the rocks so good I actually burped a bead at 20PSI right there, I think that's when I bent the axle and twisted the splines too (Driver rear)

Also, have I mentioned how difficult it is to extract a c-clip axle with twisted splines...

I'm working on wiring up my HVAC, stereo and adding sound deadener to the entire cab right now. Then I'll install my ORD front springs. All of that needs to be done before overland expo in May though. Before moab I'll need to mount my winch, finish the bumpers buy ORD rear springs and re-gear the diffs.

No pics but our home loan just went to the underwriters! Should close next week. That is huge progress towards blazer bash

I spent 2 hours working on the Jimmy. 1.5 hours of that was trying to beat a rusted bolt out of the cantilever steering arm. Cut the head off. 4 pound sledge was a no go. Took all of the steering arms off the get the cantilever arm off. 20 ton press would not budge the bolt. Try something else tomorrow.
