Because it's almost time for some to hit the road-
Post when you actually leave and hit the road including ETA.
If it's a long journey and you can post updates as you get closer, add a post.
This can also be used for possible break-downs on the road so we can find you help from the CK5 Roadside Assistance Program in your area.
I also thought it would be helpful for the ones that get there early so they can hook-up with others or figure out what wrong state some ended up in :D
If you have a way to say "I Made It!" then let us know.
Now watch this post sink to the bottom until someone hits the road....
Who will be 1st?

We'll keep this one alive, the first to leave will be Greg72 but he will be flying in.
I will have a lap top with me and will update when I can, and once in camp I can update for anyone that get's there as long as they know to come to me and tell me, I will be in the Blazer Chalet in spot 69.
I will be there on thursday after noon.
 
Leaving in 15 hours!!!!! :)

Flying into SLC tomorrow at around 6PM....driving to Moab on Sunday morning (October 1st)...

I've got a SlickRock space reserved (#69) that IceMan will be using...I'll park there as well when I'm "socializing" with the CK5 gang. I also have a room at the Motel 6 when it finally comes time to sleep.

Scott (4X4HIGH) will be flying in to Moab airport Thursday night (October 5th) and I'll be heading to pick him up at around 8:30PM.... I will be sure to bring him back to SlickRock Campground so that everyone has a chance to meet him and say hello.


I can't believe that it's almost time to start my trip....I'm getting that tingly, excited feeling.....kind of like climbing the rope in gym class!!!
 
Surpip and myself will be departing the Sooner State on 10/03/2006. We will be chilling in ABQ for the next two evenings and will be arriving in Moab sometime on the 5th..................

It will be hard to track anyone if everyone posts when their leaving.
Sounds like Greg will be the 1st one there alright. No we don't need to track your flight but we should know you made it to SLC and when you hit the road to Moab just in case. If you get lost at the Hard Rock in SLC, we won't track you but we WILL want to hear about it in Moab.
Sorry everyone but this is to TRACK PEOPLE ON THE ROAD ONLY.
Roadside Assistance Program will NOT track you in the driveway of your house or garage.

OK, one exception- Greg, WTH are you going to do in Moab for 5 days before we get there?
Dirk will get sick of you by then!!!

I'll be taking photos and doing "scenic wheeling" with my lady friend... :)

But I'm sending her back home before you guys arrive and have a chance to scare her!!! :haha:

The only time that is set in stone for us is that Surpip and I will be meeting up in Amarillo at 10am on the 3rd. Outside of that, we have nothing..........

Also, just a quick thought, maybe get a quicky phone number list together just in case. From what I have seen, we're gonna be the only ones coming in the way that we are.

Then I read the second sentance so we're cool.I just didnt want to have to be on my best drunk behavior.:D
 
Just an update on Greg, i talked to him today at 11:45 and he was in Detroit waiting for his next flight into SLC which should arrive and put him in SLC around 6:30pm tonight.

We'll be going north out of ABQ, but we'll keep our eyes open. Prepared for the Rez. Hopefully between my two phones, we'll have at least spotty coverage:haha:
 
In Elko right now - will be in Moab tomorrow (Sunday 10/1).

Our first nights will be spent at Riverview Oasis RV park. Then on to Slickrock by Thursday.

In the lobby of the hotel in SLC on my laptop with cellular uplink.... ahhh vacation! :)

We are heading out in the next hour or so. Then about a 5 hour drive (240 miles) to Moab.

Dirk: How's the weather? We were planning to see Arches National Park today and the forecast shows overcast skies but no rain.....

SOOO... by tonight I'll be in Moab at the Motel 6 / Slickrock Campground. I don't pick up the rental J**P until tomorrow morning.

Glad you guys made it there ok. I'm getting that tingly feeling now. Time to start washing jackets and such and start thinking about what to pack.

I'm still working in the garage trying to get ready.
Dam I blew it last night, I went to the bar a few beers and ended
up in the middle of a surprise part for a local girl so I stayed at the bar too long.
I had a hell of a time getting going this morning. Dam it.
Too much to do :doah: :crazy:
