Just gotta talk to the wife about it. A buddy has it. $400. Only big problem is no title. Will keep you updated!

It's worth that just in parts. Although I'd rather see it built. You can get a title for it, although it could be a hassle.

Couple more recent pics. It is in really rough shape. I would have to either flip it, or haul it up to my cabin. I could pass on it all together, but that is pretty tough!

There goes the parts budget for the other trucks...

What is rough about it? Doesn't look beat up (to these rust-belt eyes). And that is some pretty nice hardware... :thumb:

I beg you to stop finding, and then buying, all the trucks I want. :D

What trans?

I'llbuy it and ship it out east if any of you guys want it! Rough just means nottoooo much rust, but not a single straight panel.

And what's even more annoying is that even without a title, here that truck would bring $1500-2000.

Almost no rust, 3/4 ton, 4wd, 454, 4 Speed, now your going to tell me that it was Scottsdale or Silverado, and then I'll have to fly out to Oregon to try to get a truck that I will attempt to drive 2,000 miles, On a trip that will almost surely kill me.

What state was it last registered/titled in? If it was WA, I can walk you through getting it titled/registered. Worst case is a 2 year registration only before you can title it.

If I remember right it was Oregon. I went with my buddy (Pinsco63) when he picked it up some 8 years ago. I even put the 454 in it for him! Lol and now it might end up mine.

Oregon has a process too but I don't remember it anymore. I got lucky with the last truck I pulled out of a field and got the title signed over for $50 after I tracked the registered owner down in Idaho. The OR DMV used to give out the last know address when requested.

My wife send I are still trying to decide if I want it. I'm not too worried about getting a title really.

Well, after a lot of consideration, I think I'm going to pass on it. I'm pretty sure the frame is broken by the steering boxcause there is about a half a tturnoof the wheel before the tires start moving, the shifter measly enters the Trans but has little dictation over the gear selection, it sat near the beach for several years giving it a nice coat of rust on every surface, not long agotthe motor spun a rod bearing and all we did was stick a new rod bearing it's place, as stated there isn't a single straight body panel, and the reality is, I just don't have the time, space, and need for another pickup.

Also the wife said it wasn't a good idea anyway. She is right though. I was just telling her the other day how unnaturally obsessed I am with the 78. I think it would be a mistake to do anything to get in the way of that.
