Just something I whipped up today, before I melted into my couch. Damn hot today.

It's been talked about some, losing your "return to center" when running hydro assist. It's the only CON in a long list of PROS, and sometimes scares people away from making the move to assisted steering. Just looking to show you it isn't that bad.

Second reason I made this video is to brag :D This damn truck drives straighter than my S10, sure it bounces and moves around a little with the locker/soft 56s/tires, but the steering is tighter than my Dad's lifted 06 CCLB too :doah:Just thought I'd show some folks what a combination of aftermarket parts gets you :D Then again, I'm not the first to use them, so thanks for the help :waytogo:

You say it's slow to respond when turning one way to the other. How would it respond in an emergency maneuver? Say your ex suddenly appeared in the middle of the road, would she be road kill or not?

She would, unfortunately, NOT be road kill, if truly trying to evade her. It only hesitates for a second during the start of counter steer. Like driving into a gas station, first right turn into lot, quickly see a spot open at the last second, jerk the wheel to the left to get over to that pump. If it's done all at once, the steering will get hard on the second motion. For evasive maneuvers, you aren't fully pressurizing the ram one way and then expect to quickly pressurize it the other way, it's short movements.

As much gas as this truck goes through, I've only had this happen once or twice. You can see by the video, nothing is stopping me from going back and forth fairly quick.
