Has anyone powder coated their stock bumpers? Was thinking about blasting our original bumpers and making them black. Curious if anyone had any photos or experience with doing that in the past.

It might not be the best, but it's certainly not the worst. It's way more durable than POR-15 or bedliner and much harder to scratch than regular paint. It's also better at hiding imperfections than paint is, especially if you use a textured finish. You can also touch it up with some oil-based paint of the same color and sheen. For a chrome bumper, you'll have to blast or etch to get adhesion, so a shiny paint requires additional prep work.Powder coat is the worst coating you can use for corrosion control
