Just a quick question. I am getting ready to order my x-over stuff, and I want to powdercoat the tie rod and draglink. A friend mentioned the heat involved with that maybe weakening the metal. Yes or No will it?
No it will not affect it. Just so you know, after time the powder coat will chip and peel off and it is not that easy to fix. You might just want to consider just painting it. If you talk to some guys with streetrods that actually drive them, if they have there underside parts powder coated you will hear it from them too.
Yeah I was thinking about durability and cost to fix it. I might just use that Engine Enamel they sell at Wal-Mart it's been on my diff covers for almost a year and is holding up amazingly well /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
