I wanted to get some wheels on my DD powdercoated, and I have looked online for someone in my area to no avail.

Does anyone have a ballpark value for powdredcoating some Alluminum wheels Black?

I would like to know the same. I have a set of newer GM HD rims with peeling clearcoat I want powder coated black.
 
spend 150 or so bucks get a powder coater. Then hope your wheels fit in your wifes oven. I never thought Id use a powder coater as much as I have. Building a bigger oven in a few days so I can powder coat the bigger parts.
 
I have two, one I got at harbor freight that clogs all the time and the other I can't remember the brand. The one I got from harbor freight worked ok, but when you really start using it, it clogs. You can bost the air pressure a little and fix it, but you do not have as much covering control.

I had a guy quote me $100 per wheel for my four 15x8 steelies. I ended up just painting them instead. But if my Blazer was my DD I probably would have sprung for the powdercoat.
 
I had some wheels I wanted to have powder coated and the ball park price depending on condition of wheels was about $100 per. These were for aluminum rims though.
 
I've had the eastwood kit for about ohh, 4 or 5 years now. it has always worked great. baught an electric oven at a yard sale when I first got it. have done dozens of parts for my rigs. I did a set of wheels for a guy, only charged him 25 bucks a wheel, way to cheap for the work, but it was a learning thing. wont do wheels again in my oven, to difficult, only had 1/4 in on each side of the wheel for clearence. need a bigger oven but dont have the room.
 
I had it done for 30 a wheel local on my H1's. I think the price was a bit cheaper, maybe 25, but when I showed up I realized I had forgot to mention they were 2 piece H1's and told him, and he up'ed the price. I think he said it would be 35.00 a wheel.. but later when I got home I started thinking the price didn't seem right and checked and he had charged 30/wheel. I didn't argue. I was surprised how hard it was to find someone local to do it. Everything was related to aircraft, and wanted to charge me as if I was the owner of major airline. LOL

the place I used can do large items.. they have an oven that's a big as one of those huge construction site dumpsters.

I have got some info on doing my Al wheels and it is not good to do at any tem higher than 300 degrees. The wheels will crack after awhile.
 
I had my H2's powdercoated for 30 a wheel locally by a guy who specializes in automotive powdercoating applications (i.e. wheels, exhaust).
 
We have 4 or 5 shops locally that do it & 3 of them have ovens big enough to put a whole crew cab in it. I had 2 tube bumpers done, 2 diff covers, & 5 H1 wheels & got it for $300. That was silver vien too, it is more expensive than a regular single color.

Hijack on....Could you post some pics? I've been thinking about doing the same with my H2's...a flat black. Wouldn't mind seeing what they might look like to finalize my decision. Thanks. Hijack off. :D
