It goes up and down S-L-O-W-L-Y. What can I do to ensure the motor will keep lasting? and speed up the up/down process.

Also, the key switch in the tail gate is not controlling the glass. Does someone have a wiring diagram and/or advice on how to ensure the switch is hooked up properly.

As for the key switch, they are prone to corrosion. Tear it apart and clean all the contacts on the very inside of the key switch. As for the motor....its slowly going south, time to start looking for a new one.

where is a good place to look? obviously the junk yard or here but won't it be similar in being on it's way to worn out? does anyone rebuild this motor or is a new replacement available from a vendor?

just get a new motor mines pretty slow. i replaced my window motor on my driver door and a big difference. and i think you can get new motors at kragen or autozone or maybe even lmc
