If I run just the factory s10 brake master cylinder in my crawler without the power booster..what am I in for?

factory D60 front discs, rear discs, line lock and cutting brake on rear. I've run into a fitment issue and no way will a factory power brake booster fit, not even a 7 inch.

Will I need to call Tony Stark and have him design me a left leg?

Can you fit a hydraulic booster in the space you have? Generally speaking they are smaller in diameter than the master cylinder is.

I've run manual brakes on big 1 ton brakes and while there wasn't a lot of effort required to mash the pedal I didn't have nearly the braking power I'd have liked in a vehicle that big. It had wilwood master cylinders and OEM calipers.

Why downgrade when you can upgrade?

Another vote for hydroboost. I've done it on all of my vacuum trucks and love it. I'm thinking even on a smaller vehicle, more/easier brake is better than less.

They make 90 degree master/booster setups for the hot rod crowd. Entire unit is hidden under the dash & nothing is in the engine compartment. Not sure how well it would work with 1-ton brakes though
