Most amazing to me was oil volume.
Those are great tests to see on the dyno.

There's another episode where they use a super badass $1000 oil pan and they gain quite a bit of horsepower over the typical pan they use for dyno testing.

Oil control, windage. Keeping the oil off the rotating assembly.

My dad talked about foaming oil a number of times. He built his own windage trays in aftermarket pans. He would shake his head at the guys adding oil for "more oil is better" mentally.

I was going to say $1200, but I thought it sounded ridiculous so decided it was closer to $1000.

If you drag race a front sump 428scj, may be others Chevy II comes to mind, you need an extra quart to keep parts lubed on launch. Stock classes.
