Power Mirrors

In what year did they start putting the power mirrors on the K5's?? I was thinking 90??

Believe so. Looking on my Brochures pages, 1989 does not list them

Yep, 90 & 91 only.

Does anyone one know for the stock style mirrors 1989 and back, is there supposed to be some sort of backer that spreads the load on the door panel? Also where do you get those collapsible nut things for hanging the mirrors. There is (2) per door and the third one is a bracket from the inside of the door. I don't even know what to call those nuts....closes think I can think of for a name is a well nut??

1990 was the first year for OPTIONAL power mirrors.

90-91 option order for power mirrors . and the door glass is special blackout in the mirror area also if you wana be correct.

and if you have reg old mirrors look at full size vans of the same vintage from 95-down/older . they look like truck mirrors but some are power and easy to swap on our trucks .
