Does it use the same key as the door? I can't get mine to work...I have seen it work, but I don't know what key it uses. Thanks

As long as someone hasn't changed the locks, on the door or rear, it should be the same key. LMC sells new key switches w/keys for $50. http://lmctruck.com

I will, if you don't think it will mess up the motor or something...do you really think that will do it? My dad used it a couple of times, but he was thinking it was the broken off key that I have...

Those things sieze up big time. They should use the same key as the doorlocks. Mine is fried too...you can take it apart and maby have a locksmith try and fix it, it would be cheaper and you would still be able to use the same key

Thanks for the clear up guys...i will jump right on it! after the critical condition of the brakes though...

Last time I washed the Ole Gal, I got too much water in the lock and it seized up. I did just as was explained here , I sprayed it down with wd-40 and it is back to working.
Way..way..way back in the posts a similar problem came up and I explained in detail how to repair the lock and switch, for those short on cash and long on curiosity...
