For those of you that have experience driving with the power side view mirrors, how do you like them? I have a 2wd parts burb with them and am considering putting them on my crewcab. Since the burb has a blown motor I have never driven with them so I don't know how well they work as far as blind spots and all.

dont forget the door glass is diffrent with a black out section on it . so if you are vary fussy swap it also.

I will be swapping the entire set of 4 doors from the burb to crewcab. Glass is all good so no problems there. I will also be taking the entire dash and underdash wiring, most of the underhood wiring, the 89 GMC frontclip. Basically everything that will transfer over from the grill to the second row of doors.

I like them, although, it's not any different from the later body style trucks. It is the same mirror, just with a different mounting base.

From my view, they were about the same. If I ever come across a power setup, I'll get it for my '88 burb. The passenger mirror always seems to get knocked out of adjustment, and that's a long reach to fix it.

Power mirrors suck compared to the old school chrome ones.. IMHO of course ;) The field of view isn't enough for such a big truck. I guess it's okay for highway if you double check lane changes but parking with them is a bitch. The older(and larger) ones on my K5 are better for that.

I need to find some extenders that look stockish. Only reason I'm keeping mine is to keep the truck original.

:dunno: Parking with your mirrors? Do you mean parallel parking? I have only done that three time total, all during driving tests. Not much parallel parking around here. If they are the same mirrors as the 88 up mirrors then they should be okay for me. It just seems odd to see them on the older body style. What would really be kick ass on the crewcab is some power/heated topkick mirrors. I just haven't figured out a good way to mount them.

Parking, backing up, etc. The vertical field of view is what makes it hard. They'd be better suited to a lower car than a truck(Maybe the 88-98 trucks sit lower than a 3/4 ton burb?).
