Power steering bleeding questions

How do I swap the rear fitting on the power steering pump? I'm also thinking I need to upgrade my pump can I install an. 83ish pump?

Lots of times the later pump will not bolt to the older bracket. I would just unscrew the large pressure fitting on the back of the pump and replace it with one from a later pump with the O-ring fitting. Then you have to buy new O-ring style lines.

Did you mean remove the new style fitting on the hose and put a flare fitting on ?

You could buy the newer O-ring style lines then cut the end off the PS pump side and flare using the proper fitting BUT doing it this way means if you ever need to replace the line you would have to do this all over again, I always want to have it so I can buy an "off the shelf" part and install it if needed on the side of the road which is why I suggest swapping the rear fitting on the pump and just using the nwere lines.
