power steering bleeding

i noticed when i purchaced my reman 2wd box that it had caps on the holes where the lines went...after removing the caps i noticed there was p/s fluid in the box already...now my question is do i need to bleed the system and if so whats the best way in doing so???no hydro assist also if that helps and no hydroboost...

all I was told was to jack up the front end to move the tires easily...

then turn the wheel 1 way until it bumps.... then hold it there for a few seconds.. this will build up pressure.. then do that from left to right a WHOLE LOT OF TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!

with the motor running or with it off???

start with the motor off...itll get some of the air out that way instead of totally shocking the system when it cranks.
