hey my power steering gear box is leaking, would it be cheaper to buy a whole new one or buy the do-it urself kit and replace everything in it? /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif

depends on your mechanical knowledge reall,y you can get new seal(s), or get a good used nonleaking box, etc.

'80-up use metric fittings, the casting of the boxes changed for this that year

if it's just leaking i would just reseal it buyt if you notice alot of slop in the box then you need to rebuild it.
I can send you a reseal kit or a rebuild kit. I also can rebuild it for 100 but sometimes it's cheaper to go to a local parts store.
