hey help me out. I have a k5 w the d 60, psc 1.5ram, inline cooler, and psc 2wd tapped box. The problem is I will be driving off road and when turning it will sometimes just lock up. then it is real hard to turn, i will just turn it little by little back and forth untill i get it back, and all the same time the belt is squelling. I did put a new belt and pump on it, just not a hi performance pump like the one psc sells. Is that my next step???

You need to make sure the belt is tight (thinking it's not since you said it's squelling). If the belt is loose you'll lose power steering.

the belt is tight mabey half inch play in it. it is a v belt. i was thinking of going Serpentine

Having a 1/2" play it's too loose. It shouldn't have more than a 1/4" deflection between the longest throw between 2 pulleys.

it will bolt on but requires fan/h20 pump/alt/ac swap if still used or equiped.

fan & h20 pump = reverse rotation. alt is diffrent model and plug . a/c is diffrent comp from 70'-early 80's & mid80's to 91 its just dirrent hoses and front clutch head pulley. and all of them its on the otherside with serp belt.

but yes it will bolt to the older stuff.
