I know somewhere, some how, someone offers a boot to convert the regular twist lid p/s rezzy to a 5/8in nipple to run a hydroboost rezzy with the twist fitting lid. Im doing this basically out of laziness, as I dont want to bend all the way over to check the fluid level, and a bit more never hurt anyone, plus when my vacation money comes from the union, Im probably buying a Dynatrac Prorock 60, or building my own, and going hydro assist, so I need it anyways. I have heard there is a Dodge fitting that works, off maybe a Caravan or something :dunno:. I really dont want to yank my p/s pump on and buy the hydroboost/Astro van rezzy honestly, and I really dont want to climb into a Caravan for a 5$ boot. So a part number would be hugely helpful. Or anyway to covert 1 1/2in down to 5/8in.

I bought one about 6 months ago from the local Jeep dealership. They are still available, they just have to order one.

Lowes/Home Depot was my last idea. Do you have the part number handy for that Jeep part though?

I called the dealership last week and they told me it wasn't available anymore.
Part# 4333475. I went and got 2 of them from the local junkyard. They are kind of a pain in the arse to get, but was my only option. The PVC boots may work, but may not last as long.

Im hoping to avoid the yard for this particular item. Its a major PITA to get to, vans bring the suck on any motor related work. Been there, done that.

It figures that the dealer would discontinue it, they have a habit of not making any sense.

That part number should be good for dodge, Chrysler and jeep dealers. See if a dealer an locate the part from another dealers inventory. Just because they don't make it anymore doesn't mean they are all gone from shelves.

Thats what Im going to try. I would do it now, but Im already on the horn with GM getting gaskets for this 8.1L that I am rebuilding. (220$ for MOTOR MOUNTS :eek1:). On that note, I can not wait to see what this thing can do after I removed all GM's weaksauce parts. Big cam, ported heads with smoothed combustion bowls, ported intake, headers, more compression, lightened crank, more fuel pressure, better injectors, roller rockers, a new TCI converter and a dyno session to button it up. I wish I woulda went with bigger valves, but no dice. Worst to worst I will rip the heads back off and do it, nothing to be scared of.

I grow tired of people talking nonsense about this motor, and I cant wait to see it melt rubber till 3rd when Torque Management and all that other save the consumer nonsense is removed. Eventually I can see this truck (04 2500HD) with a 4 link and a 60 in front.

Thanks for the part number, now I can get to work on that thing come monday.
