I'm thinking about trying to find a different power steering pump bracket. here is my current bracket:

The bolt that attaches to the motor mount is impossible to remove/tighten while the engine is installed so I'm wondering if there is a different style bracket that would work and if so, what year truck should I be looking for?

I don't have any pics of mine that I'm aware of unfortunately showing the PS pump brackets, but I've got the setup I consider "best". One portion connects to the front manifold bolt (uses a stud instead). If I get home and find some I'll link to them.

There was some P/S brackets in the mid to late 70's that "hung" from that casting hole in the water pump housing,(under the lower bolt on the drivers side).and another bracket bolted to the front of the cylinder head and one exhaust manifold bolt,(the most forward one) that had the belt adjustment slot in it..
Thats the style I liked best...

sounds like I may just need to go popping hoods at the JY and see what I can find.

That kit makes mention of needing a stud on the back of the PS pump. As I recall, there were a few mounting variations on the pump itself, just make sure whatever is acquired is "correct".

Very likely to need to swap pulley's if you get something from the 'yard, I've had little luck mixing and matching random pulleys.
