Anyone here who could help me out with what is the fix to using the power steering pump bracket when using headers. The stock bracket uses the studs on the manifold which are not there anymore since i have installed headers and header bolts. My k5 has the aluminum accessory brackets and serpentine belt setup. Also will i have any issues on the passenger side since i switched to headers ? Id like to keep the aluminum bracket setup for accessories but i wonder if it would be less hassle to just buy a complete modular aluminum bracket kit for each ie alternator, power steering, AC, .....Just to let you know exactly what i have , 1989 blazer 5.7 vortec crate engine , serpentine setup with factory aluminum brackets, everything is factory original except the engine and headers .

I have the an '88 with v-belt setup. On mine, it is a common fix to cut off the rear ear and use a piece of tubing to make a spacer on the front. Mine has run like this for over 8 years without issue. Pic below. Also, found this video on you tube where these guys appear to have cut off the ear of the serp bracket. Maybe that's an option.

Yep.

Cut off the rear ear, and use hte stock stud on the front bolt so you can still attach the bracket.

Make a spacer for the bracket to land on.

Some header come with spacer kits or you can make your own. Putting the bracket in the original location is going to necessitate trimming the bracket.
