After spending over an hour removing the pulley, lots of swearing and lots of torch application, I removed the three bolts on the front of the pump, but it still wont come out... I don't see another bolt anywhere, what am I missing? And does the whole bracket that holds the alternator as well, need to come out? This is the vehicle in my sig, 89 gmc suburban

So is it easier to remove the bracket from the exhaust manifold or the pump first?

I think it needs to come off of both. The bracket on the pump should have it locked against the motor too much to try to just sneak it out on the pump side.
