So this is a lame question, but I'm at my wits end. I'm trying to replace the power steering pump and pressure hose, but every parts store I go to carries a pump and hose that are very close, but don't fit quite right. I'm thinking I may have non-stock brackets or hoses.

The pumps all have the return line aimed right at my bracket which makes it tough to get the line to route properly.

Multiple hoses I've bought (and now returned) all have the pump end rotated about 90 degrees off where my old hose is.

Does anyone have a picture of what a stock pump and or hoses look like on a 71? I'd like to see the back of the pump where the hoses connect and a picture of how the hoses are routed.

I just put a stock setup in my truck - I'll take some pictures for you. The hoses aren't perfect, but they're pretty close. Also, I have the assembly manual which shows some detail - I can scan that for you if you need it.

Thanks, the most difficult problem is the pressure hose. The old one on there fits fine, but all the replacements I've found for a 71 K5 with a 350 don't match it.

I've got the assembly manual and my old hose seems to match it fine. I wonder if you have a part number for the hose you used in addition to the pictures? Even without a part number if you remember where you got it, that would be a big help.

Thanks a lot!
